GOD OF GLORY THUNDERS – PEACE (Current word of
the Lord)
Psalm 29:1-11
1 Ascribe to the LORD, O
sons of the mighty, ascribe to the LORD glory
and strength.
2 Ascribe to the LORD the
glory due to His name; worship the LORD in holy
array.
3 The voice of the LORD
is upon the waters; the God of glory thunders,
the LORD is over many waters.
4 The voice of the LORD
is powerful, the voice of the LORD is majestic.
5 The voice of the LORD
breaks the cedars; yes, the LORD breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.
6 And He makes Lebanon skip
like a calf, and Sirion like a young wild ox.
7 The voice of the LORD hews out flames of
fire.
8 The voice of the LORD
shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.
9 The voice of the LORD
makes the deer to calve, and strips the forests bare, and in His temple
everything says, "Glory!"
10 The LORD sat {as King} at the
flood; yes, the LORD sits as King forever.
11 The LORD will give strength to His
people; the LORD will bless His people with peace
(Spirit, soul and body wholeness).
The Spirit of God recently
brought Psalm 29 to the forefront of my spirit while seeking the Lord for our area and region. Again this morning, I heard the
Spirit of God say, “Psalm 29”. This Psalm is exactly what I and
many others need to hear. The Psalmist David declares that our God of glory
releases His voice as thunder causing glorious and magnificent
things to happen.
My wife Kay was given a
vision recently centered on a THUNDERBIRD. The Thunderbird is mythological
giant bird worshiped by some First Nation people of North
America. Without going into the details of the vision, the message
from the vision was that God’s voice is thundering and producing the
goodness of God.
The vision clearly declared
that God’s thundering voice is grabbing the attention of the church with
great miracles and demonstrations of His goodness. The Spirit reiterated the
fact that it is the goodness of God that brings repentance.
The vision also declared that
many saints are now walking in the image of the Son of God, Jesus. The Prophet
Enoch is quoted by the Apostle Jude in the epistle of Jude declaring our
presence as the holy saints of God.
And about
these (those men who are not earnestly contending for the faith of God and have
fallen – see Epistle of Jude) also Enoch, {in} the seventh {generation}
from Adam, prophesied, saying, "Behold, the Lord came with many thousands
of His holy ones, to execute judgment upon all, and to convict all the ungodly
of all their ungodly deeds which they have done in an ungodly way, and of all
the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him." (Jude 1:14-15, NAS, parenthesis added)
I am overjoyed that Enoch, a
friend of God, who never tasted of death prophesied that we the saints of God
are here now thundering and bringing judgment (choice) by the convicting power
presence of the Holy Spirit in and through us. The power of the word of the
Lord is in our mouth to liberate the world. We are the many thousands that are
demonstrating the convicting goodness of God to ultimately and hopefully bring
choice unto repentance.
EVERYTHING
IN HIS TEMPLE
WILL SHOUT, “GLORY”
We must now as Psalm 29 says,
ascribe (give) to the Lord glory, strength and the glory due His name. The voice
of the Lord is upon the waters, over many waters, powerful, majestic, breaks
giant cedar trees of Lebanon into pieces, makes Lebanon skip like a calf, makes
Sirion (Mt. Hermon) like a
young wild ox, hews out flames of fire (lightning), shakes the wilderness,
causes the deer to calve, strips the forests bare and as a result, everything
in His temple shouts, “Glory.”
OUR
PRINCE OF PEACE IS LORD
The end of Psalm 29 declares
the end of God’s desire for mankind and that is peace. Verses 10 & 11
declare the Lord as King of the flood and He sits as King forever. The Lord
gives strength to His people and the Lord will bless His people with PEACE.
Sin entered into the cosmos,
man chose sin and peace left the hearts of men. Thank God that Jesus, the
Prince of Peace is here in Spirit.
OUR
PRINCE OF PEACE IS AN ENCOURAGER
Let this Psalm encourage you.
It is always a NOW time for the voice of God to be heard. He, who has an ear,
let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the Church.
The thunderous voice of our
glorious God is sounding to maintain the peace of God in our lives. God sent
His word and healed us. Jesus the Christ, the Prince of Peace (Spirit, soul and
body wholeness), has given us LIFE ETERNAL. The clarion trumpet thunderous
voice of God is calling all to CHOOSE LIFE.
