JESUS THE CHRIST – THE ALREADY
LAID CHURCH FOUNDATION
The ever increasing presence
of God in the heavens and the earth (Isaiah 9:6, 7) continues to shake things
to the core (Hebrews 12:25-29; Haggai 2:6, 7). We are witnessing moment by
moment the glorious bride of Christ making herself ready (Revelation 19:7). Every
creature which has not chosen to hear the voice of God (Hebrews 12:25) or abide
in the presence of our Holy God is being shaken and exposed. The glorious
church is taking its righteous place in the Spirit of God!
The Kingdom of God cannot be
shaken; therefore everything else will be shaken leaving only the Kingdom of
God (Hebrews 12:28). We are citizens of the Kingdom of God (Philippians
3:17-21). Rejoice because we cannot be shaken!
We, the church, have the
grace of God whereby we may not be shaken. We do not have a witch hunt mentality concerning those
who are being shaken and exposed. With a heart of love and grace, we lovingly bring
choice to the world (John 3:17). Remember, while we were yet sinners, Christ
died for us (Romans 5:8) providing a choice to either continue in sin or reign
in life; life given to us through God’s grace pouring forth from the
cross and resurrection. The high clarion trumpet call of God is to choose life.
We are not a fearful church,
but a church filled with the love of God. We as citizens of heaven live, move
and have our being in God Almighty (Acts 17:28). God alone is our source. Now
is the time to stand on the only sure laid foundation and that is Jesus the Christ
(I Corinthians 3:10, 11).
The following is an excerpt
from SESSION
ONE of Father’s Heart Ministry training manual called: Jesus, Son of Man, Jesus the
Anointed and Jesus the Son of God:
THE ALREADY LAID FOUNDATION OF THE
CHURCH IS JESUS THE CHRIST: WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
For no man
can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus (the)
Christ (Anointed One). (1 Corinthians 3:11, emphasis added, NAS)
From SESSION ONE, we have
learned that Jesus, as the Son of Man (humanity), walked in an intimate
relationship with God. Jesus is called the Christ or the Anointed One (Messiah)
because of His lubricated, pliable and moldable heart relationship with God.
God the Father, the Word, and
the Holy Spirit are one in love and power; therefore, as Jesus walked in
intimacy with God, the Holy Spirit and power nature of God was resident in Him.
As the God nature of love and power are imparted to us in an intimate
relationship with God we also can consider ourselves as one of God’s christs i.e. God’s
anointed.
Note explanation: When I say that we are God’s
christs, I am saying that we are God’s anointed. Christ means anointed
just as Messiah means anointed. We of course are not THE Christ but are
anointed sons of God.
REVELATORY SCRIPTURE CONCERNING THE
ANOINTING
How God
anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about
doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with
him. (Acts 10:38, KJV, emphasis
added)
Note the above scripture to determine:
·
First the
source of the anointing
·
Secondly the
destination of the anointing
·
Thirdly who
and what is the anointing
·
Fourthly the
purpose of the anointing
·
Fifthly the
comforting declaration that God, the source and essence of the anointing, was
with Jesus
SUMMARY OF
THIS MOST PROFOUND SCRIPTURE (ACTS 10:38)
(1) God is the source
of the anointing
(2) God’s destination
for the anointing is humanity (Both Jesus of Nazareth and you)
(3) God the Father, God the Word, and God the Holy Spirit
are who comprise or are the three components of the anointing. What is the anointing? The anointing is
the power of God.
(4) God’s purpose for the anointing is to empower humanity to go about doing
good and healing all who are oppressed by the devil.
(5) God is with
humanity in a relationship called the anointing and accomplishes all of the
above.
In the above scripture (Acts
10:38) you may place your name along with that of Jesus of Nazareth. Don’t
forget! The anointing is relationship,
relationship and relationship.
WHAT DOES
JESUS THE CHRIST AS THE FOUNDATION MEAN TO YOU?
Now to finally answer the
question, “What does it mean that
Jesus the Christ is the already laid foundation?” Knowing that God so
desires to build His Church, I am so excited that God has chosen His people to
build with Him. The Old covenant Psalm 127:1 says, “Unless the LORD builds the
house, they labor in vain who build it.” Though this is what it
says, our New Covenant says the following concerning the building of the house
or temple of God which is the Church.
For we are
God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building. According to the
grace of God which was given to me (Paul), as a wise master builder I laid a
foundation, and another is building upon it. But let each man be careful how he
builds upon it. FOR NO MAN CAN LAY A FOUNDATION OTHER THAN THE ONE WHICH IS
LAID, WHICH IS JESUS (THE) CHRIST (ANOINTED ONE). (1 Cor 3:9-11, emphasis added, NAS)
If God is to build His Church
and we are the Church, then there has to be cooperation between God and man. To
say that Jesus is the Christ (anointed) means again that Jesus communicated
totally with God the Great Architect, and heard the plan of God to build His
Church.
What does this scripture mean
when it says to be careful how you build?
This simply means that we are to build the church in the same manner of
anointed relationship with God that is demonstrated in Jesus. Jesus built by
seeing and hearing the blueprints of God for the Church.
As with Jesus, the building
of God’s household i.e. the Church is not achieved through a formula but
in a relationship with God. Formulas are produced from a non-anointed heart of
stone. It is from the anointed heart of flesh that God’s Church is
structured and built. Every man’s building instructions are beautifully
unique. Glory to God!
A reminder: Who is the true
church? The Greek word for church is ekklesia
(ek-klay-see'-ah). Simply said this word church means called out. The church is of course made up of people. By
definition, the true church or called out
church consists of those who have heard the call of God. Christ or the
anointing means that one has heard and communicated righteously with God.
Therefore the true spiritual church is God’s christs (anointed).
JESUS SAW, HEARD AND WALKED OUT THE
BUILDING PLAN OF GOD…AS OUR EXAMPLE
The building plan of God, in
order to be implemented, had to first be heard by Jesus and secondly
implemented by Jesus. Jesus was the first to hear, see and be a New Covenant
Holy Temple of God. In the same way that Jesus heard the Father and implemented
His plan(s) for the house of God, we are now empowered to build upon that
foundation. We are to continue building as co-laborers with God the New
Jerusalem House of God which again is the body of Christ…the Church.
Do you see how Jesus the
Christ is the already laid foundation of the glorious Church? In order to
complete the task along with God as master builders we must be in an anointed
(God’s christs) relationship with God.
We can never, ever abandon
the already laid foundation of Jesus the Christ. We are co-laborers with God in
completing the most glorious house ever built…the HOUSEHOLD OF GOD.
