222 Apostolic Mandate
Recognizing Trustworthy and Faithful Apostolic Teachers
By Gale Maiden
The number 222 as revealed to me for my personal use is symbolic of perfect righteous choices. Our present home address in Moravian Falls, North Carolina is 222 Salem Drive. Before we built our home a prophetic word released on our property declared our home a place of teaching and imparting righteous choices.
One of the mandated assignments spoken to my heart is given in the following verse of scripture which happens to be 2 Timothy 2:2.
The things which you (Timothy) have heard from me (Paul) in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
2 Timothy 2:2 NASU
I Timothy and II Timothy are epistles written by the Apostle Paul to his fellow Apostle Timothy. These men are mature Apostles, fathers and teachers to the church. It is commonly known that both Paul and Timothy certainly have a measure of pastoral gifts. The letters called I Timothy and II Timothy are commonly called by theologians the “pastoral letters.”
Paul and Timothy are more essentially Apostles who are called to train and entrust to faithful men the things that they have learned. The hope of their work is that newly trained leaders would perpetuate the apostolic gifting in teaching others who are faithful.
Apostles Imitate Our Apostle and High Priest Jesus the Christ
Ministry is best served when we realize that Jesus operates in all the ministry gifts and that the church has the same capacity. True apostles are those who know that in order to train leaders the apostolic ministry requires a full knowledge and activation of our God given equipment.
So You Have Been “Taught to Death?”
Most important is the ministry of teaching. Teaching is one of the key giftings in expanding the kingdom of God. As a lover of the teaching ministry I am encouraged that an end to an obvious historical disdain for the teaching ministry is at hand. This disdain is replaced with great joy in an anointed embrace of the profound teaching revelation now being experienced in the camps of the Apostles.
I have heard on and off for three decades from the not so faithful that, “We have been taught to death.” True apostolic teaching is now producing truth in love and new levels of freedom. Jesus said that the words which he speaks are spirit and life! We believe therefore we speak.
There has always been in place an apostolic teaching ministry but now like never before. Look and see that there are apostolic kingdom generating leaders. Without an apostolic teaching church view among leadership the church will struggle in accomplishing its God given mandate.
Do Not be Discouraged…Some Will Not Remain Faithful
Even among some of Paul’s associates there were men who did not remain faithful and trustworthy. At one point in Paul’s ministry in Asia Minor all who had begun with him forsook the ministry. Despite the unfaithfulness of many Paul never stopped encouraging the body of Christ. There are many sons of encouragement functioning successfully out of an apostolic heart of love and truth.
Apostolic Teaching – Foundational Beginning of New Testament Church
I am not one to promote a seasonal God. Due season for all things began with the resurrection of Jesus our Anointed. This particular apostolic work of resurrection is happening on a larger scale than ever before.
When the New Covenant church was birthed on the day of Pentecost after the resurrection of Jesus it began as described in Acts 2:42.
They (the church) were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
Acts 2:42 NASU
The above apostolic teaching brought forth great awe among the multitudes. Indicators of true apostolic teaching which are signs, wonders and miracles are happening on a regular basis. Souls are being saved as the power of God and the love of God draws people into the kingdom of God. Today there are six million Muslims per year making decisions for Christ.
Where Are the Devoted Faithful Trustworthy Teachers and Leaders?
I have for three decades watched and yearned for those whom I thought would be faithful and trustworthy. God has such saints who are ready to move and are moving at the bidding of God’s spirit.
I understand that God is always at work producing faithfulness and trustworthiness in believers. 2 Timothy 2:2 has for two thousand years been a major heartbeat ministry emphasis of God. The church of Jesus the Christ is composed of faithful mature sons and daughters of God.
My hope and expectancy is now at its highest level in decades. There are apostolic faithful men and woman with whom God and true leaders may entrust the kingdom of God.
Lord thank you for joining Apostles heart to heart!
Let Us Do the Following…
Leaders do not be discouraged. God has surrounded the faithful with believers who desire to be taught and to impart to others that which God has given you.
There is freedom rendering revelation that has been veiled by faithless hearts since the birthing of the Apostolic Church. These eternally existing truths renewed in the hearts of the faithful are totally attesting to the love and power presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Simultaneously great affliction is accompanying the apostolic teaching ministry. I have witnessed this personally since 1992. The hearts and minds of saints worldwide are saying, “I have never heard foundational doctrines explained in this manner.”
The Lord recently told me to declare that there is a God given post script on the hearts of all saints; which PS is an acronym for profoundly simple.
God Has an Army of Teachable Saints
Without a teachable spirit there is no hope of entering into the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. Whether out of love or despair I agree with whomever that there are billions of teachable spirits ready to embrace the kingdom of God.
The Apostle Peter gave the following warning to those who would disdain teachings. Some non-teachable people were at that time suffering destruction because of a non-teachable spirit. These were unstable men who were distorting the Apostle Paul’s teachings.
Peter said, “Paul wrote some things hard to understand, which the untaught (non-teachable) and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of Scriptures, to their own destruction.
II Peter 3:16 NASU
Continue to pray for God to open effectual doors of teaching (Colossians 4:3). These teaching doors are effectively birthing faithfulness and the full vision of the apostolic church…unto the glory of God. There is now an APOSTOLIC RESURRECTION COMPANY.
In the Love of Jesus the Christ,
